The main ingredients for a vegetarian pizza will be no doubt, cheese, which again, is one of our source for proteins as a vegetarian. This means that by creating vegetarian pizzas for kids, not only are your kids getting the proteins they need, they will also love what they eat.

Here are 2 quick and easy recipes for a delectable vegetarian pizza:

Taco Mexican Pizza


  • 1 16 ounce can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 3/4 cup salsa
  • 1 – 12 inch thin crust pizza crust
  • 1 1/2 cups reduced-fat shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 yellow or green bell pepper, sliced into thin rings
  • 1 red onion, sliced into thin rings
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro or green onions

First, start off by placing 3/4 cup of beans in small bowl and mash it slightly. Add salsa into the bowl and mix the 2 together to create the paste.

After at which you spread the bean paste evenly over the pizza crust. Add cheese, remaining beans, peppers and onions before placing the pizza into the oven.

Bake it until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown. Finish off by sprinkling some cilantro on top.

Pesto and Mozzarella Pizza

  • 3  plum tomatoes, seeded and chopped
